    The game won't update.

    If Uncharted Waters Origin fails to update, you can perform the following procedures to update it:


    1. If you are experiencing issues updating the PC version of the game, delete and re-install the game in the FLOOR Launcher.

     - In the FLOOR Launcher, click [Settings] under the Start Game button → Click [Uninstall] to delete the game, then re-install the game.

       * You can delete the game only when the game is not running.


     


     - If re-installation did not resolve any update issues, try performing the following procedures to solve the problem:

      1) Use Windows Explorer to go to C:\Users\{※ PC Log-in Name}\AppData\Local\Uwo\Saved

      2) Delete all files in the "Saved" folder and restart the game


    2. For the mobile version, you can perform the following procedures in the relevant store to update your game:


    ■ Google Play Store (AOS)


    1. [Settings] → [Manage Apps] → [Application Manager] → Select [Google Play Store]

    2. Delete update, cache and data

    3. Reboot your device

    4. Run Google Play Store and click [Agree] in the pop-up screen

    5. Re-install Uncharted Waters Origin

    1. [App Store] → Select the [Profile] icon on the upper right side of the screen

    I can't hear any sound.

    If you cannot hear anything while you are playing or you need to adjust the sound volume, you can check both your device and in-game settings to solve the issue.

     

    ■ How to check the current device sound volume

     1. Utilize the device's sound adjustment buttons (+/-) to check the sound volume

     2. In your device, go to the [Sound Settings] menu to check the sound volume


    ※ If you still cannot hear anything after adjusting sound volume in an iOS device, please ensure that "mute mode is deactivated".


    ■ How to adjust sound in-game

     - Select the menu button[☰] on the upper right side of the screen → Go to [Settings] on the bottom → Go to [Sound], turn on "Master Volume" and adjust the sound volume to your preferences

    I see an error screen when I try to connect via FLOOR Launcher. (1) "Failed to open descriptor file ../../../Uwo/Uwo.uproject"

    This error message pops up when Uncharted Waters Origin is having difficulty running the game as intended

    due to damage in files occurred during a patch update.

    Please take the following procedures when this problem occurs:


    1. Check file integrity and repair

    Go to [Settings > Scan and Repair] under [Start Game]


     


    Go to [Settings > Scan and Repair] under [Start Game]

    Open the FLOOR Launcher and click the cog-shaped button on the bottom left screen. You will then be able to see the "Scan and Repair" menu.

    Check the file integrity through this menu.


    Note that the menu cannot run smoothly while the game is active. 

    Please close your game first before using this feature.


    2. Delete and re-install the game 

    If the first method fails, 

    you must completely delete Uncharted Waters Origin and re-install it. 

     - To delete the game, go to the FLOOR Launcher, click [Settings] under Start Game → click [Delete Game]. Re-install the game after you delete it.

       * Note that you must close the game first in order to delete it.


     


    3. Re-install the FLOOR Launcher 

    If the previous two solutions do not work,

    delete your game as you were instructed in the second solution, then delete the FLOOR Launcher as well.


    1) Press [Windows Key] or click [Start] button to activate the search feature, and go to [Add or Remove Programs]

    2) Search for "FLOOR Launcher" in Apps and Features and delete it

    You may run into problems as described below when moving while playing the game on a mobile device.

    Uncharted Waters Origin allows only unique Company Names (nicknames) to be created in one server. (Two characters or more, 10 characters or less)


    If the message "Company Name already exists." appears when you try to create a Company Name, please use the recommended Company Name or create another Company Name that is not a duplicate.

    FLOOR account is set to block login from overseas by default.

    For the cases below, the FLOOR account and the account linked to FLOOR will be unavailable to play an account will be blocked by overseas login.

    What is a Skirmish?

    A skirmish is a content where you can challenge other players in a specific stage periodically. It is available from company LV 25, and you can enter it by [Menu (≡) → Skirmish].

    In Uncharted Waters Origin, it is not available to change to another character after you chose the admiral initially. But from company LV 25, you can additionally recruit the admirals.

    - Flying Fish: A skill effect for fishing increases for a certain time.

    How can I recover mate's Loyalty and Injury?

    You can recover mate's loyalty and injury as follows.

    * How to recover loyalty:
    1) Click a mate in [Menu (≡) → Mates > List > Mate], and recover it using Present/Chat on the right below.
    ※ You can recover loyalty by chat every 6 hours.
    2) Click a mate in [Tavern → Manage Mates > Loyalty], and recover it using Regular Pay/Special Pay on the right side.
    3) Besides, you can recover a mate's loyalty by [Tavern → Party > Interview], Bonus and Special Bonus in the tavern, and so on.

    1) It can be recovered naturally, as time passes.

    Contribution is a type of point that can purchase special items with it in [Palace(Castle) → Reward]. You can check the number of contributions you own on the right side of [Menu (≡)]. Here are the ways to obtain contributions.

    1) Combat: To defeat a user from hostile nations or a certain NPC
    2) Adventure: To report discoveries to the estate
    3) Trade: To sell specialties to the market
    4) Skirmish: By the reward from the initial achievement of the grade, or by the weekly rank reward
    5) Achievement: By the reward from completing the achievement

    What are these icons marked on some trade goods?

    When it comes to purchasable quantity, some trade goods in the market are affected by the season effect. In the market, an extra icon will be marked on the right side of the trade goods affected by the season effects. Followings are the types of season effects. 


    ■ Icon Type: Season

    ■ Icon Color: Increase/Decrease status of purchasable quantity according to the season effects
    - Green colored icon means the purchasable quantity of the trade good decreased.
    - Red colored icon means the purchasable quantity of the trade good increased.

    What features does a bank provide?

    The Bank is where you can prepare for various accidents through Deposits, Savings Accounts, and Insurance to protect your assets.

    ■ Deposit, Withdrawal : You can store your assets at the Bank and safely withdraw them again.
    - Pre-deposit your wealth into the bank. This will allow your assets to be protected even if you surrender while sailing. However, you must pay a small withdrawal fee whenever you withdraw from the bank.

    ■ Savings Account : Sign-up for a Savings Account to earn interest on your deposited wealth.
    - Deposit into a savings account once a day for a total of 7 days to gain interest along with the principal amount at the end.
    - Savings Account matured after 7 days of the deposit will be automatically kept to Deposit in the Bank.

    ■ Insurance : Check the insurance info and sign-up yourself up.
    - Having insurance compensates for any accidents you may experience. Insurances with better terms will become available at higher Company LVs.
    - When a ship is damaged due to capsizing, you will be compensated based on the rate of your insurance.
    - Insurance fees are automatically deducted for each day out at sea. If you do not have enough to pay the fee, it will be deducted from your bank deposit. If you do not have any deposits left and fail to pay the fee,
    the Insurance is automatically canceled.

    How can I earn Fame and Title?

    Fame will increase by completing Chronicle, Union Request, Combat, Trade, Discovery Report, Royal Order, and so on.

    If your fame reached a certain amount, you can earn a title by completing Royal Order from Palace. When the title becomes higher, there will be advantages such as tax exemption for cities where the admiral's nation has more than 10% of the share.

    In Uncharted Waters Origin, you can change your company's nation by immigration. Visit a palace of the nation you want to immigrate in the capital city and apply for immigration. (Immigration accompanies expense, but you can immigrate for free in the first immigration.)

    But for immigration, you have to pay attention if you are satisfied with the condition related to reputation and the nation's immigration status.

    * Reputation: Reputation is the number that shows the relationship between your company and each nation. Immigration to another nation requires a reputation of above 20%. It is not able to immigrate if your reputation is lower than it. Check your company's reputation in [Menu (≡) → Nation].

    * Immigration Information: Check whether it is available to immigrate to the nation you want in [Menu (≡) → Nation].
    - Immigration Denied: Nations with strong national power may not be willing to accept immigrants.
    - Unable to Immigrate: You are unable to immigrate if your company is the current mayor of a city or you have invested in a different city and the results haven't been calculated yet. You will also be unable to immigrate if you have recently immigrated.

    * Allied Port: Allied port is the city where it belongs to the nation with the top investment rank to the free port. A company with the same nation as the allied port does not pay tax when trading.

    * Occupied Port: Occupied port is a city that is temporarily occupied as a result of competition.

    You can avoid unnecessary fights via the Combat Protection mode. Please refer to the instructions below to set up Combat Protection mode:



    ■ What is Combat Protection mode?

     - Combat Protection mode is a defense mechanism to avoid unnecessary fights against NPCs or other players. You can spend a "Naval Protection" to avoid attacks while sailing.

     - One Naval Protection item is spent to avoid one attack, and it has a cooldown of 180 seconds.

     - You can activate Combat Protection mode only when you are in the city. However, you can deactivate it while you are sailing.


    ■ How to activate Combat Protection mode

     - You can activate Combat Protection mode by selecting the "Naval Protection" icon on the left side of the city screen.

     - Activating Combat Protection mode does not trigger additional pop-up windows. If the icon turns light green, it means Combat Protection is activated.

     - When deactivating Combat Protection mode, select the "Naval Protection" icon like you did when activating it. However, deactivating it will trigger an additional pop-up window, and you must click [OK] to deactivate.

     - You cannot turn on Combat Protection mode under the following situations.

       1) You do not have a Naval Protection item or you have spent all Naval Protection items
